Pro 2:10-11 KJV When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; (11) Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
One of the most effective and deceptive ideas that we have allowed to keep ourselves trapped into the status quo is to believe that life is just something that happens to us and we have to just continue to live with the cards dealt to us. One of the most liberating verses of scripture that I have came across lately in my walk with God would have to be Pro 4:23 which says, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
The heart in this verse represents our thoughts, will and emotions. Our life is literally being issued, poured, and emptied out of the thoughts of our heart. We are going where our thoughts are taking us . The life we will live in the future is a result of what we are thinking today. We literally attract our future into our reality by virtue of what we are thinking, feeling and saying on a daily bases. No matter what we say we want to accomplish in life it all goes back to our core beliefs about ourselves and what we subconsciously believe is possible.
Proverbs 23:7 KJV For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
If our thoughts are on God we will follow the ways of God. If our thoughts are on our own desires and satisfactions we'll find ourselves out of the will of God. The most important thing I need you to see is there doesn't have to be a differential in God's will and our happiness; but there is a great gap between our will and God's will for us. Our will and way is the way of death. God's Will is the way of happiness, peace, & Joy in the Holy Spirit.
Our verse for today says that when wisdom enters into our heart, knowledge is pleasant unto the soul. When I read this verse I have to ask the question, "What have I learned from following my own way, what lessons should I have learned from following my own path? I truly believe that life is only hard when you don't learn from the lessons along the way. Earnestly ask the Lord to help you to learn the lessons and to past the test that life is giving you. Not only should we learn from our own lessons, but also from the lessons passed and failed by those that God has placed around us .
I don't care who you are you are going to need some life tutors. If my brother or sister has taken a life test and tries to instruct me and I don't listen, failure is no once fault but mine. Remember, if you don't past the test you will not only take the test again, you will have to repeat the whole class.
Life is not just something that is happening to you there are choices that you have to make each and everyday that will shape your destiny. You have a great responsibility to trust the fact that God knows more than you do about you and that he knows what is best for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
